With VirtueMart product builder the user can create his own configuration selecting products, from defined product groups and put all of them in the cart with a single click.
Also predefined bundles of products could be created from the backend and be purchased by the end user with a single click.
A good example is a computer which consists of different parts that the user have to select.
Features
- Groups of products could be created either connecting a group with one or more categories of Virtuemart or selecting manually the products of that group from the products of Virtuemart.
- Predefined non-editable product bundles ready for purchase, could be created.
- Compatibility check system for selecting only products that are compatible between them. This functionality works with tags between products.
- Works also with custom fields (VM2.0.x) ,attributes(VM1.1.x) and child products.
- Dynamically updated total price of all the selected products.
- Groups could have predefined default products selected as suggestions and predefined default quantity.
- Easy front-end styling using color-palettes and other usefull tools and options from the backend . This eliminates the need to write and edit css code.

 Comes With 7 different layouts for different use.
1) The Default which loads extra product info after every selection. (Thumbnail image, short description, Manufacturer).
2) The Minimal which offers only the products selection feature.
3) The Image-Overlay Which is usefull for final products that could be represented as layers of images. An example of that products is the t-shirt products which consist of the t-shirt and the stamp. This layout needs images with transparent background for the overlay effect.
4) The Non-editable-Bundle. This layout is usefull for predefined bundles.
5)The Groups with static images at the top. Which displays the images of all the selected products at the top of the page.
6)The Groups with static images at the right of each group. Which displays the images of all the selected products at the right of the page.
7)The Bundles Browse page. It displays a list of the created Bundles with links to each bundle's page
The layout is selected from the joomla! Menus, as every layout is a different menu item.
Product Builder has been tested in all major Browsers. 
Product Builder can be used also together with  Attribute Manager using the available connection plugins (only for VM1.1.x and Joomla 1.5).
